Boston Red Sox @ Tampa Bay Rays (2)

The second game of this three game series pitted Ryan Dempster, now of the Red Sox, against Alex Cobb of the Rays. My seat was in the left field seats for this game, which gives you a different view of the game.
This game was played chronically slowly. I have an interest in the game being quick, but this was ridiculous as after nearly 2 and a half hours, they had complete a mere 5 innings and I had to leave in the top of the 6th inning. As it happened, the game went on for over 4 hours in total, as it finally ended 7-3 in the 10th inning on a Mike Carp grand slam, but completing just 5 innings in that time is really not very good at all. Games that started an hour later were also in their 6th by the time I left.
Since the stadium sponsor is a bottled drink manufacturer, it makes sense that the mascot race at Tropicana Field is between three bottles of drink. They all have silly grins on their faces as well, although you can't see them from this photo.
When I got back to the hotel, I went for another paddle in the sea, although it was dark. There were a few other people out there as well, enjoying the view as the moon set over the gulf. None of my photos of the bright moon lighting up the water came out very well, so you'll have to take my word for it that it was beautiful. Here is a close-up of the moon, just before it dropped below the horizon, with a cloud just starting to obscure it.
