Washington DC
I had the Supershuttle booked to return me to Tampa early this morning, and when I went down to checkout, the driver was already there as he'd left early to make sure he beat the rush hour traffic. There were two other pick-ups in Treasure Island, so we went up there and had to wait around a while for one couple, as we were very early for their pick-up time. I got to see more of the beaches as we travelled up further North.
The flight was due to take just over 2 hours and it did - we left early, arrived early, and then waited half an hour for the baggage from the flight to come through. Instead of taking the Washington Flyer coach and metro, I had booked another Supershuttle to take me to my hotel, which I probably ought not to have bothered with, as the journey took ages - in fact, overall it took longer to get from the airport gate to the hotel than it had to fly from Tampa to Washington, as the roads in and around Washington are very busy in rush hour on a Friday. I think the metro would have been a lot quicker, even with all the baggage.
I could have gone to the game in the evening, as it's just a short walk from my hotel and I'd arrived in time, but since I'm already seeing games on the next three days and it's quite expensive here, I decided to just have dinner as I was quite tired with all the travel.
